Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the R.M. Pyles Boys Camp family. We are looking for motivated, energetic, and talented people to commit passionately to our community. From leading activities and teaching courses, to dealing with the day to day responsibilities of the camp community, we expect a great deal of initiative, creativity and dedication while on the job.

R. M. Pyles Boys Camp is a summer camp serving low-income, disadvantaged boys from Southern California. The youth are selected on the basis of financial need, lack of a positive male role model in the home, potential delinquent behavior and leadership ability. Ages range from 12-14 years old. There is no cost to the family for attending camp. Most of our staff is alumni of the program however we also employ non-alumni that meet the qualifications.

For our boys to have a safe and productive summer, you will need to approach each day with a willingness to work, a sense of humor, enthusiasm, and common sense. Our program is quite intensive and you will learn much about yourself during the summer. You will stretch your own limits as you move from activity to activity, dine with children at meals, and, in the evening, create a community during our all camp nightly campfire. The days can be long, but connecting with the boys is the ultimate reward.
