Former Camper’s Mom is Cooking Up Support!

Linda Alonso, mother of Pyles Alumni, has been working hard to raise funds to support the next generation of Pyles Campers.

“All three of my son’s were Pyles’ campers,” Linda said. “Jester and his younger brother “Shadow,” also worked at the camp during their high school years.  They brought back so much positive encouragement from attending the camp.  They talked about the camp activities and the staff for months.  I knew of the expense it was for them to attend, and I always wanted to do something to give back.  I found the opportunity now to do so.  I can’t do enough to support this wonderful program.”

Linda has been running the Fraternal Order of Eagles Bingo Snack Bar, on selected Sundays from 1pm to 4pm, located at 1718 17th St., Bakersfield. All proceeds are donated to the R. M. Pyles Boys Camp program. You don’t have to play bingo to enjoy what’s cooking, as the club has a spacious lounge to enjoy your lunch. Stop by at an upcoming event: Linda’s 2022 Schedule:  10/2, 10/23, 11/13 & 12/4

Adam “Stripes” Bell, Executive Director of R.M. Pyles Camp said, “We are so grateful for the support we receive from the Pyles Alumni community. Linda’s efforts, along with support from her family & friends, are so important and help ensure we are able to provide the Pyles program to the next generation of boys and young men.”

Thank you, Linda!!
