Beautiful Bakersfield 2024

We are thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of R.M. Pyles Boys Camp and our beloved Stan "Coach" Moe at the Beautiful Bakersfield Awards. 🏆

Jess “Simba” Cobos, Kendra “Presta” Rhodes and Brandie “Peaches” McAdams representing R.M. Pyles Boys Camp as a Large, Non-Profit of the Year nominee and finalist.

As a finalist for the Large Non-profit of the Year award and Stan “Coach” Moe's nomination for the Lifetime Achievement Award, we stood among the esteemed as a testament to the transformative experiences we've provided to over 30,000 young men.

While we may not have clinched the win, the nomination in a gathering of over 700 attendees speaks volumes about our impact.

Our heartfelt thanks go to John Nyhan and Chevron for their unwavering support. It was amazing to be able to join with our Pyles family in celebrating this honor and the deep roots we've cultivated in Kern County.

Together, let's continue to empower future generations. 💼🌲

Celebrating Dedication: A Huge Thank You to Our Pyles Camp Family!

Celebrating Dedication: A Huge Thank You to Our Pyles Camp Family!

After a long days work, sitting by the campfire with your Pyles family is exactly what is needed.

This past weekend, over 50+ alumni and volunteers embodied the spirit of community at R.M. Pyles Boys Camp. Their unyielding dedication during our Work Party Weekend has left a lasting impact on the heart of the Sequoia National Forest, where our main camp nestles.

For over 75 years, this tradition has been pivotal to our mission, ensuring that every young man stepping into our camp is welcomed into a space of growth and positivity. Your hands have built more than structures; you've fortified the foundation of character and perseverance we strive to instill in our campers.

Thanks to your tireless efforts, we now boast a new campfire area, resilient against the elements, ensuring countless nights of storytelling and camaraderie. Your work in deep cleaning, minor roof repairs, and preparing firewood means our boys can enjoy the warmth of the campfire safely and comfortably. And let's not forget the clearing of underbrush and debris, a task that ensures a safe and inviting environment for all who join us!

We stand in awe of your commitment, and we cannot express our gratitude enough. Your contributions this weekend are a testament to the wonderful community that supports our cause. Join other supporters in continuing this legacy of service and care. Together, we're creating an extraordinary experience for every young man who calls Pyles Camp their summer home.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the images of our volunteers in action – sawing, cleaning, building – are the truest representation of our gratitude. Let's share these moments! 📸

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT AND HELP "RAISE THE ROOF"

🛠️🏕️ Join the "Raise the Roof" Campaign to Rebuild History! 🏕️🛠️

As a cherished member of the R.M. Pyles Boys Camp family, you know the magic that happens under the roof of our beloved Mess Hall. For 53 years, it has been the heart of our camp, where laughter and stories are shared over meals, and lifelong friendships are forged. Many of our young men struggle with food insecurity so a hot, family style meal is a unique experience.

Today, we need your help to rebuild our Mess Hall, recently damaged by a natural disaster.

It's not just a building; it's a sanctuary for the many young lives that find direction and purpose within its walls.

We're thrilled to announce a matching campaign that will double your impact! Join other supporters in restoring a vital piece of our camp's legacy. Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, amplifying your generosity up to $100,000.

Plans and Permits are in hand. Let's come together to "Raise the Roof" and ensure future generations can experience the transformational power of Pyles Camp. Every contribution brings us closer to reviving the place where campers not only eat but also grow, learn, and become leaders.

Donate now and watch your generosity soar to new heights!
