Pyles Camp Announces Upcoming Leadership Transition

R.M. Pyles Boys Camp’s Executive Director, Adam Bell has announced he will step down later in 2023, after leading the organization successfully since 2016. The Board of Directors has initiated an Executive leadership search for Adam’s replacement, with a candidate search now underway. Adam will continue in his leadership role throughout the transition, with the full support of the Pyles Camp Board to further progress the immense success of the Camp’s nearly 75 year program.

During the transition, the camp’s dynamic program and community engagement advocacy will remain in good hands, with the leadership support of Camp Director and former camper, Dale “Bamm-Bamm” Decker, who began working with Pyles in 1997, and Program Director and former camper, Ivan “Navi” Trigueros Ramirez, who began working with Pyles in 2018.

President of the Board of Directors, Jeff Wilson, said “On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are so proud of the many accomplishments that Adam’s leadership has brought to the program and while sad to see him transition with a family move back East are blessed to have his continuing long-term support. We are equally excited to welcome new leadership to build even greater achievements for the families we serve, as has been demonstrated over many decades of leadership transitions with the full support of our Board, staff, alumni, funding partners, and campers.”

R.M. Pyles Boys Camp has launched a national search for Adam’s replacement. Interested candidates can visit https://www.pylescamp.org/executive-director-job-description to learn more information about the role and also how to apply.

“It has been the honor of my professional life to be part of such an important and impactful mission. I’d like to thank the dedicated staff, volunteers, and donors for making our work possible. While it is an incredibly difficult decision to leave this role, I am very confident that the next Executive Director will be able to hit the ground running with the support of an incredibly strong professional staff, energetic and passionate summer team, and a tremendous network of volunteers and donors.” -Adam Bell
