North American Camp Trust Awards Pyles a $20,000 Grant to Support Campers
At R.M. Pyles Boys Camp, we believe in the transformative power of the wilderness — an environment where young men build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that last a lifetime. Thanks to the generous support of the North American Camp Trust, Pyles Camp has received a $20,000 grant to help send boys to camp this summer. None of the boys who attend Pyles pay for their experience or the year-round mentorship that follows.
This funding will directly support six campers, covering their full sponsorship of $3,500 per boy and allowing them to experience 12 days of immersive outdoor education, mentorship, and personal growth. For many of these young men, this will be their first time experiencing the beauty of nature, hiking through remote wilderness, and learning the values of teamwork and perseverance. Beyond the summer, Pyles will continue to mentor these youth throughout the year with local reunions focused on giving back to the community.
Our program is designed to empower underserved youth, providing them with the skills and mentorship they need to become leaders in their communities. From guided hikes and survival skills to problem-solving challenges and character-building activities, each camper leaves Pyles with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. This grant also allows us to continue our year-round mentorship program, where we strengthen the bonds and positive behaviors forged during the summer.
We are incredibly grateful to the North American Camp Trust for believing in our mission and helping us make this experience possible for more young men.
While this grant makes a tremendous impact, there are still many more boys hoping for the opportunity to attend Pyles Camp this summer.
